Go on a system run towards High Point. Have them fix it. One of the best shops we have.

You are 100% right about it being so different from terminal to terminal. There are a few unimpressive ones. Being local would suck in your case. The system is so much better with better pay too.

I'm lucky to be in Wilmington. We just picked up more dedicated routes that are 4 or 5 days and some that are one day runs.

Best of luck with whatever you do, and remember to leave on good terms. That way you can come back if those greener pastures aren't quite so green. I have been surprised at how many come back after trying elsewhere.

Amen to that. The flexibility is one of the things I truly love about my terminal.

Next time the shop fixes it but doesn't roll it into a TA or Petro and have them fix it.. Keep doing that until it's fixed. Don't run with anything not DOT legal. That's your excuse for spending that company money. They will keep you running crap if you let them. Let a load be late or a bunch of ta Petro bills and you will be in a newer truck sooner rather than later.

Been trying to do that but I've had no free time to do it.... flying j said 24 hour wait the other day to even look at it..... I'm calling safety tomorrow, just worried about painting a target in my back... either way its emotionally really tearing me up I've gotten 4 hours of sleep in 3 days now.

TA and Petro are the shops SPCR has a contract with. Don't run with equipment that won't pass a DOT inspection. Waiting 24 hours for a shop will pay you $200 in layover in a company riembursed hotel. No reason not to do it.

Dude, nothing in this job should be stressing you like that. If you feel it's unsafe, just say no. The heck with a target. We don't work like that at Superior. I had them tow my truck twice. I got a new truck because I started putting an unsafe truck in the shop so often. They paid me and for my hotel while the truck was broken down.

Get some sleep and talk with your fellow drivers. Nearly all of us will tell you the same thing. Get it fixed by staying on them and make the money. Nothing is worth driving a truck you feel is unsafe.

I'm hopeful that tomorrow when I get back from a local delivery our terminal manager will be in for once and actually talk to me. But either way this has got to get fixed and I flat out refuse to keep running this truck till it's done. Also telling them to take me off our hydrogen peroxide accounts for now, I'm not dealing with the extra bs for those loads and unloads if they won't even give me a decent truck, not like we get anything extra for really doing it.

I'm Leary of even trying a system run in this truck it's got to many issues at the moment. Plus our dispatch (where largely my problems are coming from) doesn't have the drivers to really allow us to get out and run system loads. Hopefully safety can put a fire under them to get this stuff straightened out. I know any new job is going to have woes but this is getting ridiculous. 5 trucks in 6 days swapping around left and right is just unacceptable. There throwing other drivers in my truck while I'm out and about also who write it up as well.

I truly hope this isn't a good representation of superior as a whole but this is unacceptable.

Headed out with a dedicated load of acid to WV tomorrow. Deliver on Thursday and be back Friday. If they have a load available for over the weekend, I"ll go ahead and run another.

Yeah, it is an easy life sometimes.

Are you open to moving? I dont think I've ever heard any good out of any company in your area. You're going to find different experiences at other terminals

This week's been better so far... my truck is at the shop again now apparently it wouldn't start lol sigh. I'm very open to moving and that's what me and the old lady have been talking about. Trying to make some God money first and pay down some bills then we are planning on getting away from renting to purchase our own place.... where said place is yet I'm not sure. Heard good things about the NC terminals, loved my maine experience... kinda open to anywhere it doesn't get crazy hot.
