I have a very nice life, thank you! My point is most companies who want a maximum recruiting pool, do not still adhere to old school asinine limitations such as blankety stating, no beards. etc. 50% of men in America now sport some type of beard. I would suspect those going into truck driving? Even higher percentage. I get it, when it's for safety reasons and masks, but outside that? It's like shooting yourself in the foot.

None of your business, if you don't like it, move along.
And the vast majority of that 50% (highly suspect this percentage) of men? Seem to me to be hipster yuppies, that will shave it off when it becomes unfashionable again.joshuapowell61 Thanks this. -
I completely understand issues where respirators and emergency oxygen systems are in place, but any company that restricts facial hair or tattoos for that matter, isn't worth anyone's time. Carriers should be happy they can have drivers that can do a professional job.

From my experience Any place I've unloaded at where the product was that nasty to have to wear a respirator has always been done by the customer.

And don’t get me started on the tattoo fad.Milr72 and Deere hunter Thank this. -
My old outfit, HD5, dint have a hair policy, but this one plant we went to did. They made one of our drivers shave off his chin whiskers before they'd let him in.
I cant stand a bunch of hair on my face so I was good to go lol -RockinChair Thanks this. -
I have a driver with a beard down to middle chest. I don’t give a #### as long as you get the job done and safely.
I don’t like to be told what to do and how to look. So as long as people have good hygiene I couldn’t care less what’s on their face.Muddydog79 and LoSt_AgAiN Thank this. -
My point was simply that a company is lessoning their pool of potential employees and some #### good employees by saying, "no beards" but hey, if they want that, then so be it. I'll go happily work someplace else.LoSt_AgAiN Thanks this.
