Pi k up a load I Las Vegas that was delivering in Irvine tomorrow evening.
Came here to fuel and do a ten.
When I got here... dl sent a message seeing I would do a local run today. They would tcall the one I have. Went in and said yes.
Another driver had dropped this Samsung load at the ups dc next door. Ups then broke the seal before realizing it wasn't theirs.
So they resealed it and parked it outside.
Swift went and picked the trailer up.
I had to count the product as they took it off
It took a couple of hours.
Next load picks up I Victorville in the morning and delivers at 0130 ( yuk!!) The next morning I times on az

Not much happening except for my laptop.
It turns out that the keyboard problem was persistent and it has failed totally.
So disappointing.

So now I have a $1,300 laptop with no keyboard, except for the external one I am now using.
I will have to send it in to Asus for repairs, which is a big headache.

 

I bought an MSI gaming laptop with a SteelSeries keyboard 5 years ago after I leased my truck, it's still taking a beating. And this is with me being a die hard World of Warcraft and Diablo 3 player.

 

Spokane, WA at the Petro.

Long day today.
I was driving at 0300 for a 0400 delivery in Sumner, WA, then picked up a load in Tacoma to the Safeway DC here in Spokane with a 1400 delivery.
A 4 hour live unload at Safeway left me with minus 45 minutes on my 14. Good thing for line 5.

Got up at minute to deliver that load to Kroger in tolleson az. Preplan says it's a live unload but it's always a drop.
Had already accepted another preplan that picked up at Costco 0315 and goes to a store I Henderson nv at 2000 the same day.
Was gonna do my 10 at terminal after picking it up.
As I was hooking up to the loaded trailer I get a call from planner in p heonix saying they had a hot load that needs to be delivered in San Diego asap and I was only guy with hours to get it there.
So unhooked from that trailer and got my empty a d drove to terminal to pick it up.
Was going to Pepsi and I was .5 hr late
Had to wait for 2 trucks to get unloaded b4 it was my turn.
Planner said he had an Ohio load that I could have and said no..
Like to stay in southwest till spring. So he said I could pick it up at the otay mesa yard and tcall it in p heonix terminal. Ok.
Has enough hours last night to pick it up and get to pilot for my 10.
Drove it in this afternoon.
When I Tcalled the load I walked back and talked to the planner about another load. She said they have a load that's ready to be licked up anytime and delivers tomorrow at 1800 in Henderson nv.
She has her dates mixed up. Got in truck and saw it delivers on Sunday.
Had 4 hrs left on clock when I picked the load up so I drove here.
Gonna do a 34 reset here and drive the 90 miles on Sunday.
Had another Costco preplan that was going to Las Vegas but got cancelled right b4 I got to terminal. Would have like to done that one since NASCAR is in Las Vegas this weekend.
Would have taken Sunday off. Oh well.

 

Bum luck.
Maybe next time it will work out.

Although, you could always set a home time date to get you there.
Pretty handy having the Petro right next door.

 

Had taken 2 days off already.
Have to get so.e health stuff taken care of before I can start playing lol.
Cpap b.s. and some major dental work done.

 

Just got a message over qc saying truck needs a bit service done in 5 days.
Why couldn't they let me know while I was in pheonix.
Could of done my 34 reset and get it done there

 

The shop won’t do your service early. They send the first message when you’re about 3000 miles from your service but they won’t do it until your within about 1500 miles. Different shops have different rules. Some more lenient than others.
