Can you use PC to head home after you drop off a load? If it makes a difference I’m otr and might be a few hundred miles from the house when I drop my last load.

I drive for Pride and have driven for Andrus, both companies allow 30 minutes PC a day to go home or make a truckstop but never more than that.
I think, that is all you can use. There are others on this site that I am sure can give you better info.
I am just giving the info that I have personally seen. -
So it’s going to be completely up to the company then? I couldn’t find a DOT rule on it but thought maybe I was just missing it.
-
I would say, yes, it would be up to your company.
This is a good question and I hope other drivers chime in and give more input. -
Call dispatch or send a qc message. Every company is different.
Snowshoes Thanks this. -
D.o.t. doesn't put a time limit. But companies do.

You need to talk with your company specifically. Be prepared to meet them halfway such as taking care of the fuel burn etc.
In my day we went all over bobtail when off duty at the yard. Those days are pretty much over. DOT has been trying to find a way to regulate it recently. But your Company is the owner of that truck, what they says goes. If you had to, that truck stays put you fly or uber home yourself on your own dime which has nothing to do with the company truck that stays right where it is or is put into a company yard.Dieselboss and Snowshoes Thank this. -
It’s going to be so hard to be 100 miles from home after 5 weeks but have to take a ten hour break. Gotta do what you gotta do to stay legal though.
