My daddy also hit me with a 2x4 one time. I learned to not be seen or heard.

 

One day I’ll get around to telling you about the time he shot at me.

 

You aint gotta be quiet with me. More stories the better. Fourth generation Owner Op here. I bet I have spent more of my life talking trucks than anything. I was told If I wanted to get my own ride to go get it myself. Dad did help me work on it in the shop, but not with his cash. 13,000 bucks and needing a transmission. I did not start driving for myself till 31 years old. Wish I would have started out of high school.

Dads first truck. If I recall 1964 IH with a 504? gasser. Gave 4500 bucks for the truck, and trailer. Hit the road without a jack or spare first couple weeks. I think this was black iron of the boat Newport News Va.

 

Kinfolks that raised me said the same thing....
