Problem solved

 

I’ve used them twice.

Once in the gorge in Oregon. About 5 miles worth of wet road. The night before was 10x worse at 3 in the morning but no chain law in effect.

Then the other time was at home in the flat driveway. Parked with warm tires on the ice. Came back out and just spinning....... put 2 Sox on and backed right into the shop.

I have never thrown tire iron. I avoid the bad weather as best I can and if it’s bad enough to have to chain I’ll just park.....

I have been checked twice by CO for caring chains. Passed both times with the socks in the bags.

 

By the way it didn’t take 5 total minutes to install and remove them. Takes longer to get stopped than to actually install or remove them.

I have 1/2 fenders really close to the tires so the socks were really my only choice or remove the fenders?
