Where's u tankers loading at this morning

I asked dispatch if it was a customer requirement and they gave me an emphatic, "NO". I should have just done it on my own but not being familiar with the product I went with their direction. I learned a lot on that trip.

What was in the tank?

 

Ammonium Nitrate. It's loaded hot so in-transit heat wouldn't have damaged the product. When I got to the receiver I was at 165*. Interesting stuff.

Dealing with a frozen load of methacrylic acid MAA now myself... appears it's frozen at the internal. The temp gauge reads 70F window is 60-90F from what I understand but the customer couldn't get any flow. Get to try for a delivery again tomorrow. Then handle another pickup and delivery all in one day, got a feeling I'm gonna be stuck out.

 

I haul a lot of MAA. Never had a freeze-up. Good luck.
