Range on Tesla cars is already approaching 500 miles. New chargers coming to reduce recharge to 15 minutes. In 30 years it will be better range than your current rig.PE_T Thanks this.

I'm not currently driving. I work in battery systems for homes.
Battery tech is taking off. Supercapacitors are probably going to change the way you look at electric vehicles -
You are probably familiar with the Maxwell modules for trucks.
Its coming. Actually its here -
Where are you going to get the electricity? Forget the chargers, or how long it'll take to charge, where are you going to get the electricity to run everything in this country off batteries? They're wanting to kill power plants not build more, and don't come at me with solar and wind power bs, all that is produced with fossil fuels.singlescrewshaker Thanks this.

Solar wind and nuclear would be my personal preference. There’s only so much oil. You either gotta plan ahead or face Armageddon when peak oil hits
bryan21384 and PE_T Thank this. -
From what I've been hearing they want to kill nuclear too.
-
Oh and by the way, they (GM) pulled the "plug" on the volt.
-
wind and solar..ah ok..but nuclear, nah i will pass. All those that love it should live beside the plant. Or close to the area where the spent fuel rods, or wherever they are will be buried.Eldiablo Thanks this.

Every lawn mower I have bought for thirty years has the same "not for sale in California" sticker. Always manged to cut my grass.

Bunch of fools living on the edge of a desert crying about a drought and wondering why it floods when it rains.
