I dont know what being an experienced trucker has to do with anything as far as being taught a lesson. A good teacher would be a professional and act like one. If he acts like a rougue idiot just get off the truck. Now if he makes it personal, his ^%% whips just like anybody elses.
And no one is "forced" to share a load. They chose to be trainers.

Do you really think a good professional teacher would be working for Werner as a`trainer ?

No one deserves to be treated like that. The attitude that trainer displayed would get him killed if he did that to certain people. I was abused emotionally all through elementary school and when I got into high school I started to fight back at bullies like this. I was expelled for trying to rip a kids jaw off his head and attacking the janitor with a folding steel chair (WWF style) when he came to the kids rescue. I'd like to tell those trainers to stop tormenting people because you never know who will take it or who will try to rip your jaw off.

"Grow thick skin" How about people treat others with respect. I tell it like is to everyone, even my kids, but I dont insult them I tell them what they did wrong and how to not do it in the future. One is two and the other 1, when they fall down I check to see they are ok but I do not cuddle them or comfort them, I tell them they should've been paying attention and if they did it in the future this wont happen again. Now I could've said "you ########## #######, wtf is wrong with you? are you too stupid to watch where you are going?" But I dont speak to anyone like that and if someone does it to me now that I am an adult and there are law men to answer to. I give three warnings. There isn't a possibility of a 4th because you'll never find them.

Ask your self next time you cuss someone out or call them names, would you do it to your child? Would you let someone else do it to YOUR CHILD? That person sitting next you is someone else's child regardless of whether or not they are an adult. They're still a son or daughter to someone. Would you want your child to take it or stand up to it?

As an early teen my mother grew worried of me screaming and fighting (subconsciously) in my sleep at all the torture from kids at school and teachers telling me to grow thick skin. She told me to stop taking it and give'em what they deserved. So please dont pick on or hurt someone, especially if you have people at home that care about you, like your parents, children, or significant other.

Stroker, you say you found a better company. Mind sharing which company that is? Thanks...

Given that most "experienced truckers" I have seen at truckstops look like they are 50 lbs, or more, overweight, and they're out of breath by time they hit the top step getting into their truck ... I'd say it's no problem kicking their ###. :biggrin_25523:

Why didn't you just call your SDM and request a new trainer?

i have been reading what you have to say for quite some time and usually agree with what you have to say
ive also learned a thing or two from what you say on here
    this time i respectfully disagree
i am currently driving down I-65 wth my trainer going from green bay to alabama
me and my trainer get along just fine and i am very happy that i was fortunate enough not to have to go down the road of a disrespecting trainer
i personally believe in respecting my fellow human beings and karma
i nmy life i have not always been in the easiest of situations but i have always come out on top
i am a 48 year old guy who till now led a very active life
most of the truckers i have seen on the road have stopped at one to many buffets and couodnt get themselves out of a wet paper bag unless they had their gps with them
too long in the seat does nothing for a mans fight game
my trainer does not coddle me but he respects me as i do him
anything less from either of us would not work
he lets me make mistakes and also makes me figure out how to correct my mistake but he makes sure that i dont take out someones brand new pete

students ....dont take crap from your trainers
if your not getting along find someone you can get along with
that same man that is disrespecting you as you drive down the highway is probably also doing it to his family back home
being a truck driver is no excuse for treating another human like an animal
where will you draw the line with your abusive trainer?
when he spews vulgarity at you or when it gets worse...it can only get worse!

    one last thing ...
i have many friends that are truck drivers
some are owner ops, some drive for companies
each and everyone of my friends told me two things
if you arent getting along with your trainer call the company and get out of the truck
this is not a good learning environment
here was the second piece of advice everyone gave me
ALWAYS....ALWAYS ....KEEP A SAFE FOLLOWING DISTANCE
if you see your trainer getting up on other vehicles that doesnt mean you should be doing it
everyone be safe out there and treat your fellow human being with respect and respect will come your way!!
