Ok, then perhaps you could tell us by what conceivable “standard” that incredibly idiotic maneuver passes muster.

Wasn't me that that gave him a passing mark.
If it was up to me to set the standard there would be a whole lot less drivers on the road, truck and other.
I think the bar has been lowered a tad too much over the years and it's time for the industry and governments to set a higher standard of qualification for all driving schools, a nation wide standard that puts new drivers on the road armed with a more complete skill set, rather than a rough idea of how to drive a truck.
Personally, I think mentoring or starting at the bottom and progressing to a driver is a better way to learn, start on the dock and learn how to load a truck before you drive one.

There are actually 2 types. Voluntary and Braindead.

Voluntary could be more, could be better, but all they want to do is 'hold the steeringwheel', just like the Braindeads. They are the ones that ride in the middle lanes to hell with everyone else, and park in the middle of the parking lot and the fuel islands and whatnot.
The Braindeads just have enough brain to hold a steeringwheel. You can'y honestly expect more from them. They barely qualify as human. When you see them, you marvel about how they even made it this far (the cattleprods in the trucks and company handholding). You can't help a Braindead, so don't bother trying.

Wow what in the hell?? He litterally could've backed up on the shoulder 30 ft and got turned around or go over to the guy recording tell him to help me out back up a lil and I'll be out of ur way, or sit there and call state police to come help....there is no reason to even attempt what he did lol

"Steering wheel holder" is what the majority of the companies, companies
that are managed by "college educated idiots" who never drove a truck, are
looking for. There are thousands of quality FORMER drivers...……

That whole time he had no idea that the thing keeping him from completing the turn around was the swing out of his trailer hitting that wall. I'm certainly not saying I agree with him trying to turn around. I hope that fool never drives a truck again.

    D*mn, I'm glad I'm a Supertrucker and not a steering wheel holder!!! :D

Ok, the driver is a yutz for ignoring any previous low bridge warnings, and truly got himself in a dilly of a situation. He was getting frustrated, as you can see. Made a mess of the truck, and I'm sure, by the looks of him coming out of the cab ( hands on head) this was his last trip, as he didn't care at this point. Bridges marked 13 might be 13'2" and if I couldn't get under it dumping the air, you have to call a cop, and back out, but just looking at it, there was not enough room to spin it around anyway,,,came ever so close toward the end, tho.
