I'm interested in getting back into tanker, keep reading about mergers and changes and am a little lost as to who is who these days.
Cryo companies after all the mergers...who's good to work for?

Linde was just purchased by Messer 2 weeks ago. I just accepted an offer to start on the 1st. I’ll let you know how it goes
Another Canadian driver, speedyk and tscottme Thank this. -
They purchased plants and other assets from Linde to satisfy terms of the Praxair/Linde merge dictated by the feds to minimize monopoly of the gas markets

I spoke to a guy that works for air liquide he say "if you are willing to deal with the bs you can make 90k a year" but reiterated that's theres alot of it specially with the merger

I'm nearing the end of my career.
Been a cryo driver for last ten.
It's true there are many rules to follow depending on the company.
Most for safety reasons but some because a couple of rubes in an office somewhere convinced senior leadership that the benefits would outweigh the costs or inconvenience.
If you are able to adapt and conform to the rules you will find it becomes a habit without a second thought.
To only pull 90K I'd have to work hard not to work hard..lol
I've not seen a gross under 100K in years, more like 110 to 120, and get home each day w 2 days off a week.LilRedRidingHood, Another Canadian driver, BennysPennys and 14 others Thank this. -
From the research I’ve done from some very reliable sources that’s what I’ve seen too. I jumped on it like a June bug! Like Dennixx said it’s just about habits and muscle memory. I’ll work safely to make 100k+. Here’s a conversation that I’ll never have with my wife: “I could’ve made 100k+ but I wanted to be able to use my cell phone while driving”.LilRedRidingHood, GSOK, Another Canadian driver and 6 others Thank this.

I'd like to pick your brain concerning the industry that you are currently in. I've only been tanking for less than 6 months. I was pretty impressed with watching praxair on the job site I was on a couple weeks ago. he said that he makes very good money. I just don't know enough about that particular industry.LilRedRidingHood and Another Canadian driver Thank this.

How much experience do you need as a tanker? I only have experience as a tanker no dry van. I started driving this past December. How hard is it to get higher by these to get hi Who are the best companies to apply to? What are they looking for? Is it a lot more difficult to load or unload vs. Liquid bulk? Do you need any other special licenses other than tanker hazmat and TWIC? Are they very strict about criminal backgrounds? I have any and all endorsements currently working for Schneider in their bulk division. Thank youLilRedRidingHood and Another Canadian driver Thank this.
