Here is what gets me, and it' seems normal for a lot of companies...
392.2LV Lane Restriction violations 26 The next unsafe driving is 11-14 over with 11 violations.
Why do drivers hang out in the left lane so often? I just can not see a valid reason for that to ever happen, much less be the most common violation. If traffic is going slow in the two allowed lanes, simply wait a few miles and it will clear up.

30 years Trucking? You sound like a 2 month old rookie! A seasoned, no nonsense, 30 year Trucker would have never given this company the time or day. These bottom of the barrel companies are for rookies. In fact, if I was 30 years in, I would have my own trucking company by now! You are in the wrong profession my friend.

They have been BAD. As in really BAAD. The DOT man might just show at the company yard and OOS the entire outfit where it sits at that moment. Trucks loaded on the road would have to stop instantly wherever they are and totally snarl JIT< Appointments etc. And not move again.

    mjd4277 Thanks this.

I agree. This little all caps TL:DR RANT from someone who should have already a very long fuse from exploding is like a 3 year old denied cookies before dinner.

Im not here to pile on. Ive got my own buttons when pushed can be pretty intense.

could be, he himself has a terrible DMV record, or a (recent) criminal background, and that's all he was able to get hired on with.

otherwise a good driver, good DMV, and perhaps no (recent) criminal record, would never as you say, give that company the time of day.

To be honest I'm a driver that will scout the yard see what car are the drivers driving, look at the overall condition of the yard, and talk to the drivers, last time I didn't do it I got burned badly

well, looking at a drivers car, tells me nothing...most married men and even cheap prinks, buy cars that just get them to work and home, as the wife, mistress, or whoever, gets the NEW car......

would you want your (significant other) to drive a clunker and scream at you when it breaks down..??

i know i NEVER did......which is why the ex always got the NEW car.

but otherwise, yes, i'd scope out the yard, to see what equipment is like, general condition of the area, etc.

in my opinion you take care of your car like you take care of your truck, clean cars means clean trucks a lot of trash in the cars probably means piss bottle collection and year old burger wrappers, most of us take pride on our rides personal or business.

Lonesome, mjd4277, Omega1 and 2 others Thank this.

You gotta look at them real hard because if it turns out to be another bad bet , you still have to put that down on your next application job history section

The more job history section you have fill out the more you look like an idiot that can't hold a job down.

This will definitely dwindle your earning potential , not to mention totally ruining your chances at getting on with a solid company like ABF. or FedEx or other saght after jobs

But then , I'm sure the bottom feeding low life trucking companies would love give you a break & take a chance on you until you prove yourself worthy of their ( as they would put it ) top level elite associates

    mjd4277 and x1Heavy Thank this.
