I want to learn, do share your experience. If I didn’t I wouldn’t have come here. Are you willing to share your knowledge and help someone up, or are you the type to withhold it?

Serious question, why do supposedly highly educated self proclaimed intellectuals with college degrees want to get into trucking?

Ya I know the above statement is kind of an oxymoron

Yes you need to set money aside weekly for maintenance. I spent around 30k last year in maintenance alone on one truck and one trailer

My equipment is paid for, but warranties don’t cover lost revenue due to down time

This is the thing every dollar earned will sit in an account. I don’t need to live off this money at all.

If you really want to make money, go get a stock broker. He will actually put that money to use and allow you to make a profit.

    Coover Thanks this.

even with a warranty your truck will sit. It like 2-5 day waiting just to get a truck into repair shop. Then they might have to oder parts.

Your in for a shock if you think you can run a truck for a trucking company part time. Without any driver your truck won't even move. Hope you got money more insurance. I hear it like $20,000 a year if your driving the truck and have some experience as an O/O. If you plan on hiring drivers, they probably won't even insure you at any price. The big trucking companies that hire driver and stuff. They are self insured for the first 1,000,000.
