Paid $10200 for comfort pro installed. Now they stretched pm service to 2000 hours. Warranty 2 years or 4000 hours. It has start timer feature i like most.

If anyone decides to go with the DIY setup, make sure to get a box that is weatherproof and well ventilated. I used to keep mine in an aluminum toolbox, and it would overheat even with a radiator fan blowing in and the exhaust piped outside. Now I just keep it on a frame between the toolbox and the SCR box, and slush gets in there and causes problems with remote start and electronic choke/throttle control. I've had this generator for about 2 years, so I'll probably build a new box and get a new generator before the summer. This one still works, but I have to use the pull cord now, so I'll open it up and clean things and stick it on the travel trailer.

2.5 gallons in gas gets me about 24 hours of run time. Truck batteries were at 12.4 when I switched over to the generator. I ran the bunk heater all night and woke up to 12.9 volts. Air filters and spark plugs are stocked at Home Depot, so you can service them pretty much anywhere.

Mine stays relatively clean on the catwalk. The tote box that you can barely see in the left of the picture completely covers it while rolling. I just flip the cover off when I stop for the night and it's good to go.

Excellent. Now people will be going to Walmart asking for it haha...again great crafting skills. Really good set up. I was thinking about the breeze screen for trucks with an adaptation to vent out an indoor air conditioning unit. The problem is that any malfunction may turn the inside of the cab full of toxic air.....that is more than it actually is.

How long have you been running your split a/c? I ran mine for about a year and had problems losing refrigerant, maybe rubber hoses would of did better. Summer is coming along again and I got to come up with a plan. I tried the big a/c and the big hole in the back, that did good too for about 6 months, then I couldn’t keep the rainwater out. Was thinking of going back to a split with rubber lines or pulling the passenger seat and hooking up a dual stand up a/c like @Tug Toy did

It's only been in there a couple of months. The condenser and evaporator are right behind each other with about a foot and a half of lines between the two. Did you have problems with the copper breaking because of movement?

I don't know if you can run 410a in rubber lines. I think the pressures might be too high.

Even if I could only get a year out of the mini split, I'd replace it with another one. I only plan to keep this truck another year and a half or so.
