Inverter question Schneider screw me already

2500 will give you 2000 watts safely. The 2500 is surge only. Also when the shop installs it, if the truck burns, it isnt your fault.

 

Schneider will NOT allow the shop to install an inverter for a driver. If it didn't come pre-installed by the manufacturer, then the driver is limited to 180 watts (12 volts on a 15 amp fuse).

@stylez80Nine - I'm surprised that there isn't an inverter installed. What year is the truck?

Driver's side, under the bed. Usually they will throw in at least a 2000watt inverter.

 

Spring for a new one. Not that expensive now. Probably could pay for it with fuel points.

You need a lot of power to start a frig compressor and I always hear they don't hold up good in a truck. They were never built for that.

Their are some real 12v frig you can buy but they are expensive. They had a Danfoss compressor is a special compressor they uses very little power.

Companies like Dometic now use their own compressor. You can Google them and other companies. They are like $900 but it a real frig/freezer and 12V
