It doesn’t seem my headache rack will fit easily on my new truck. What are other options for chain storage?
My trailer is a lowboy and I can’t put any boxes on it. I do however have about 3’ of wide open frame rail on each side of the truck in between the axles and cab. What are some good boxes I could mount here? Do the chains get all tangled up not hanging like in a rack?
I carry:
Four 1/2” binders
Ten 3/8” binders
Four 5’ 1/2” chains
Eight 10’ 3/8” chains
Two 20’ 3/8” chains
Chain storage

You can put a box on the neck.

Hang some boxes on the frame and you could also mount an in frame box.

Could you get a different headache rack? Or have one fabbed to your specs?

Aside from that I am kind of liking having the nice window to look out the back.cke and PoleCrusher Thank this. -
If you buy a rack like this you can still see out the window
