hard braking

    My job has a hard braking set at 7 mph reduction in 1 second. When I ask management to explain how to avoid it in ATLANTA traffic they say its an excuse but can not offer a solution because they know nothing about trucking.

    Just ask them if you should let the anti collision braking system do the decision making to let you off the hook.
    When I get coachable events captured on the drive cam I always tell them I didn't put myself in the situation and maybe they can find some cameras to drive the truck.

    Yep if you stay 4 car lengths behind traffic, 7 cars will fill that space causing a hard braking event. The good news is you hardly ever have more than 100 of those in a day if you're within 100 miles of a big city.
