I live just south of Kerrville.

Just let me know where you end up. Our shop is near I10 & Fm1516 (The Chevron Truck Stop)

I also know a secure yard in Marion, about 8mi from the Loves in Seguin.

I actually cut the arm, cut 3/4 inch out of it and welded it back together. Now I can run a off the shelf 20’. After some sanding and paint work no one would ever know it’s any different than stock.

I started with NEW arms so they had full strength springs in them.

Well, I'm finally getting some of the shiny stuff back on. New clearance lights, new stainless hardware, etc.

If I would have taken this to a shop either I would have been upset at the bill or the shortcuts. I know I'm slow, but it is unbelievable how long this takes on a 30 yr old truck.

And before y'all make fun of my visor not covering half the windshield, this truck started life as a logging truck and that's the way it was when I bought it. Not cool, but neither am I, so it's a perfect match! 20190327_184158.jpg

Yeah, I'm starting to. Still a lot of pain in the but things to deal with like having to drill out the broken bolts on the aluminum front fender supports and mounting the tanks etc.

It won't be half the caliber of yours, but for an old work truck it shouldn't have to lower it's head in shame.

By the way, on Peterbilt tanks, do you put the adhesive side of the webbing on the straps or the tanks? Anyone know?
