Well she certainly looks happy on this trip up I5!
Where ya headed? -
Peterbilt Steve made the claim. Him and his group of dealers (Rush Truck Centers) have reported very good things. And he's been selling the X15 since it was available.

Did you run across these guys??

Very well said and good advice..., seen a few over the years that would never say no. Seen one of them in the mirror a lot..... I changed that!!
-
No, all Acerts except the first series acert (BXS) are 120 pin. The BXS is a 70 pin, but the ECM is not capable of 6NZ tuning.
Theres not a single turbo out there that will keep up and out perform a set of Acert compound turbos. Besides, without lowering the compression on an acert, running a HOT tune on one is asking for lots of headgasket issues. -
That looks just like the one I picked up.

Really appreciate the input my friend. I'm not sure why you thought it might be condescending or whatever. I definitely want to start fresh with this new company, and try to be friendly, professional and open to opportunity, but also not be a complete push over. I've got 4 years under my belt, and in Canada, that's a very high value of experience for younger drivers these days. Most my age, who don't grow up in the industry, don't make it past 6-12 months.
I want to be the guy they try to keep around because I'm good at whatever I set my mind to do, not because I say yes all the time. I realize now that was a big mistake at my current company, since they have been treating me like a doormat without anything to show for it.
I have heard nothing but positive things about this company in terms of home time and family focus. They know their drivers need to be home and use the 4 on, 4 off schedule to try and get them to be home more, while still maximizing their productivity.
Right now I'm just focusing on making a strong first impression, being honest about what I want to do in the long term (be local/city rather than highway) and while still realize I have long term goals of being at home more, I don't want to sacrifice the opportunity to make big bank in the next 12-14 months to help build a solid future for my wife and future family.
The reason I went back out on the highway originally was to start making bigger money, but then realized that it wasn't really possible at my company within the parameters set for me (home every 5-6 days). I need to be out more at my mileage rate to really make good money.
If the work is there, I'll put in 60 hour weeks, I won't refuse an extra day of work because 5 on, 3 off means potentially an extra 50-65% on the down payment by the end of the year. Once I get some seniority under my belt, I'll look into transitioning into the city. I still love being on the road, but definitely don't want to do that once the kids start appearing.cke, 7-UP, Westbound23 and 21 others Thank this.
