The consensus in my other thread was to not purchase headphones at a truck stop. Although it does look like loves carries some decent pairs (especially when compared with what’s available from pilot).

In general it looks like loves has much better stuff than pilot/flyingj. I get more points at pilot than loves, but I never see anything good at peelot, so I usually just get water or other nicknacks for birthdays.

I’m thinking about switching over to fueling almost exclusively at loves from now on, even though I won’t earn as many points there.

There have been 2 things I needed in the past month: a nice-sounding pair of headphones and a new pair of shower sandals, after looking in multiple p/flyinjs, I noticed these items were not available. On the other hand, every loves I stopped at had them.

    tscottme Thanks this.

That’s 4 points per gallon on platinum status, right?

Well I get 5 points per gallon everytime at Pilot.

    Bonus question:

What would be the best item to save up for and turn around to resell on craigslist or ebay?

Forget that, Amazon is what you want. Put a number on there that makes a profit and wait.

As far as points, I don't bother. As far as headphones I order my own online. The retail store crap outside of specific old time hi fi antique stores are crap.

Even if I got one like always, I find half of today's electronics cannot drive it with the tiny power on them. So I am forced to scale up. And add this to the battle since I cannot afford a Shure https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...ubtag=home-theater:1270134:1554226543c9d6b161

You will find that ear buds are not the sound you crave anyway. Go bigger. And that amp should be able to drive most of the more common 100 dollar headsets that have 50 to 160 Ohm impedance. Provides a 60 db boost at 3.5

I am deaf so I use one to drive my pair. Since quality is what I get and nothing more, there is no point in trying to be a audiophile. It's good enough. (*Disclaimer, I have nothing to do with this link. Just a item I use)

I buy food with my points. I never buy anything that could be a tax write off. No need for throwing up a red flag and having to show accounting for points.
