Company in Quebec was sued for invasion of privacy over it.

You can thank Canada for our court system saying it was.

 

A) That ruling only covers Candian drivers. Over 80% of Schneider drivers are US based , so if Schneider chose, they could install them on US based trucks with no legal prohibtion.

B) My post was from 2015 - two years before the ruling, when it looked like Sysco had a reasonable shot at winning.

C) There were some people at Schneider who wanted dash cams, some who wanted driver facing cameras as well, and some who didn't want any cameras at all. The decision was made by the VP Operations to nix driver facing but explore dash cams .

 

The updated list below has 121 entries. The Truckers Report currently has 2371 companies listed in the Reviews section, so this list, which is about 5% of that, is still pretty small compared to what's out there.
