2 yrs. w/C.R.E.

I started with England over just over 2yrs. ago as an Independent Lease Operator with a CDL class A w/Pass./HazMat Endorsements. I knew going in that any serious business is a challenge, and knowing that I prepared well. I rarely praise, but I will attest that the equipment and administration are top of the line. With determination I was able to become an owner operator last year. CRE administers almost everything that I couldn't, including experience, when I started. I can confidently recommend any of the C.R. England options.

 

In April 2007, I leased a 2006 Freightliner Century Class ST with a couple hundred thousand miles on it. In November 2008, I was able to lease/ purchase it from CRE. I might purchase or lease a new one next year and trade my 06' in or sell it privately. With regard to equipment I considered the tractor repair cost slightly above average, if at all, in two years. I maintain it religiously and I've never hesitated to have repairs done at CRE facilities. It averages back out and it's dependable!

 

My payments are much higher in the lease/purchase because the term is short. I can't take home time without accumulation. There's no variable milage in a regular lease during home time. I can opt for either, depending upon my plan vs. the investment of my time against available CRE options. As I said earlier, and again, I will research and prepare well prior to contract negotiations.. That said, the revised lease option appears to be more diversified, and that may or may not better suit my business. The term is key.

 

Once you complete classroom and driving course training etc.. You begin to receive compensation about a week after you are placed on a truck as a trainee. If you already have your CDL Class A it shouldn't be much longer than three weeks. Soon I will begin to consider my options for the coming year.
I started training in February 2007 with my CDL Class A with HazMat, I remain up to date with all that goes on, and I'll continue in the same 2006 Freightliner until March 2010. C.R. England is #1 in the Country in so far as the climate control freight industry is concerned. The Administration and Drivers are the reason.
