This thread is also for venting and sharing... don’t worry about bringing it down.
We all need to do it from time to time.
I was sitting in Flagstaff. AZ the other day... similar situation, waiting around for several plus hours and then finally got a deadhead move to Colton... which, like you, just delayed the start of my day... and caused me to drive into the night... for a simple deadhead that I could have started anytime.
I like to think (lol) they were spending hours searching for a paying load in my area and finally just gave up and pushed me to Colton to get me some miles for the day and closer to my next load.
Well, truth or not, it keeps me calm... LOL

We got a similar message end of last month, minus the accidents.
So April 2 we already had 3. BoneheadsFinfn1372 and Silverdriver Thank this. -
Had an "accident" last night. Dude was backing into the space next to my truck and scuffed my passenger-side side mirrors with his trailer.
Told him I needed his insurance info, but it was unlikely that Abilene would actually contact his insurance. Much more likely that they would just contact his company and send 'em a bill for $100 or however much it costs to repaint/replace that little covering on the mirror.
Dude straight-up refused. Would not give me any info at all. Tried to give me $50 instead.
Didn't take the $50. Took down the dude's company (from the side of his truck), his truck #, his license plate, and left all that with safety. Dunno if anything will come of it, and not particularly worried about it either way. Just thought it was kinda amusing. -
When I seen what was coming I laid on the truck horn and woke him up.
When I speak to my wife I say to her... "You never know what is going to happen out here" we drive with a mind of safety but is the person next to you that may take you out in a quick second.
Every time that I go up or down that Ohio 35... I'm just reminded of the accident a truck driver had there about two years ago. Everything was ok until this guy just drifted off.
Some people think being a truck driver is easy! They just don't know ALL the things we have to do, be aware of and put up with.
If there is a job where some people deserve a medal is truck drivers!JoeyJunk Thanks this.
