Portland or at jubitz.
Tried to deliver that load to paper mill in Longview wa last nite to no avail lol.
Guard sent me to a small truck stop and it had no overnite parking signs lol. Went inside and asked manager and she said it's ok as long as stay with truck.
Sat for about an hour after the quick unload this morning.
Finally got a load that picks up down the street from here and goes to Visalia ca with no appt ti.e yet.
Appt time is at 1100 and got there 2 hrs early. Got said come back at 1045. No parking there so he sent me here to wait. Lol

Mesquite, NV at the J.
I picked up a load of copper in Magna, UT this morning headed to Ontario, CA with a stop in Cedar City, UT.
I was a bit confused when I get the BOL as it had the entire load delivering to Cedar City and no mention of Ontario.
I called my DM and found out that I would be picking up another load at the first stop that was going to Ontario.
So I get to the first stop, a copper tube factory, did a live unload of their 43k of copper cathodes, then dropped my empty and hooked to a preloaded trailer. This load is only 5k. It is 5 small bundles of various size copper tubes that takes up almost no room at all. That sure will be nice for getting over the hills along the way. -
Paso Robles, CA at the only place to park.
I'm lucky this place is here because there is nothing else even close.
And I guess I am in a black hole. I delivered at 0900 this morning and at 2000 I still have no preplan. Nothing has been on mac 30 either.
What a fun place that was to deliver. A Walmart offsite warehouse, with near zero room to move around.
I was told the drivers go to the end and turn around to line up for the dock. The trouble is, it is not sized for a 53 foot trailer and blind side backing is impossible with the width of the driveway. I tried that first, then gave up and went to the turn around point. A couple guys came out to help direct me, one of which had 20 years of trucking experience. I was glad for the help.
They told me one of the last Swift drivers to come in broke some water lines by jumping the curb of the island that borders this tiny turn around point. I can see how it would happen given the tight space.
I needed to back up a little and then turn to the left just a bit to straighten out by just a few inches. Then back up just enough to let me clear that curb.
There are water pipes just under the surface in that little corner of the island and it can not stand the weight of a truck. It was an expensive fix that I am glad I didn't make. And I managed not to damage the right fairing by a couple inches.
I got out and looked many times with that one. -
Montebello ca at the swift intermodul yard.
Delivered that load in Visalia ca yesterday morning.
Then picked up 6 rolls of paper in Fresno that went to Georgia Pacific in la Mirada last night. This place is small and tight.
Had to drive around the building to get to the dock and had just enough room for a truck to squeeze thru. Better have your tandem all the way forward.
Ran out of my 14 so line 5 it here for the night. Actually parked on side street next to yard. Got woked up last time I was there saying I had to disconnect from trailer and park truck.in front.
Have to pick up load in carson ca that goes to San Diego b4 1600 today -
Perris ca at a am/pm that's a truck stop too.
Delivered that load of speaker components to Bose in otay mesa.
Did a Mac 30 and got load that picks up in Moreno valley ca tomorrow at 0800 and delivers in Milwaukeeor on 4/09 at 1600. -
This was a new one for me.
Got a pplan this morning to pick up at the CHP inspection/weigh station in Labec, CA, delivering to the Walmart DC in Irwindale.
When I got there the officer didn't know anything about it. He said, 'You know this is an inspection station, right?" Told him yup, but this is where I was sent.
I called my terminal and after about 40 minutes finally found out what was going on.
There was a Swift truck that went through there a while back and was over weight. They offloaded some, and that was what I was supposed to pick up. The only trouble was that it had already been picked up by another Swift driver this morning, and they had double dispatched the load. -
They were trying to get that picked up by quite a few drivers I’ve heard, been there and done before and had to help driver pull doors off trailer. If you get busted at that scale going south 1 exit just past all the huge truck stops you should get canned.
Moosetek13 Thanks this. -
Why so many drivers? Because it was at a weigh station?
It was not a driver load, so I didn't see any problem with accepting it.
Now, if someone told me I had to help remove trailer doors, it would be a firm no. Same with a driver load.
But why did so many drivers turn it down?
And that could explain why it was double dispatched, with that many hooks in the sea. -
Went by there yesterday and saw 2 swift trucks parked in back. Both had doors open. Think they were waiting for a rkoll off tow truck with a forklift. Might of been the same load.
I had got sent to a warehouse in banning for same thing.
This guy has a contract with banning scale for overweight loads.
He comes to scalehouse and chp gives him the truckers license and has the guy follow him to the warehouse and he unloads the product to get it legal. Then guy goes back to scalehouse and they reweigh him.Moosetek13 Thanks this. -
