If you want me to, I can take a measurement on my truck when I get home after work tomorrow just for comparison sake. It might be a little different though becuase I own a long wheelbase triaxle
It shouldn't really bottom out though. I will measure my 86 so at least you will have something to compare it too
I will be interested to see what your results were too. I have always looked at my fronts and said #### there is no clearance there. But have also experimented with ride height. If you change it any more than 1/4-1/2”, you will definitely hear your drivetrain right away once you hit 50 so I keep it at factory specs
It bottoms out hard. The U bolts are wearing a groove in the angle plate above them that’s bolted to the frame rail. new rear shocks are on the list now
You can feel it bottom out? I have never felt this. Although I have new shocks. Now you have me curious and going out to measure
So I'm gathering your truck is sloped down to the front? I don't know jack about Peterbilt's suspensions but logic says to me maybe check the steer axle suspension. Sagging springs, missing spacer blocks between the steer axle and spring, smaller diameter steer tires etc.

Should be fine. These trucks have a bit of a rake to them. If my truck were to match the same height as the rears, the front end would be way off the ground. I have all new front suspension and basically all new rears. And all new bags. Also had driveline alignment.
Yep same as mine. I can see where your front U bolts have been bottoming out on that angle bracket like mine too
