    Lee Sapp passed away a few weeks ago and Bill passed away on April 4th .

    They sure don't make them like that anymore. My condolences to their family. They sure knew how to operate a first class truck stop.

    i can't say i have stopped at more than 2 Sapp Bros in all my time on the road.

    RIP.

    now let's hope that whoever took over, doesn't run the company into the ground.

    Hard to say on that one but Bill and Lee were very old and I heard a few years ago Bill had alzheimers so they probably haven't been to involved in the biz for a while .
    There may be hope tho as Lee's children still live in Ashland Nebraska and the whole family is very religious to the point of refusing to sell alcohol .

    Oh please don't let Pilot/Flying J buy them! Oh hell no! It will be just like losing Spacewat Truck Stop in Meridan, Ms. It is now a Mr. Fuel, a subsidary of Pilot. There goes another good truck stop with a sit down restaurant. SAPP Bros. need to be kept as they are.
