I tried the fridge thing several years ago, didn't use it, and I was bad to sit at home for 30 days or more, unless some big money load came up. I would forget it and the second time it ran my batteries stone cold dead, it went away. lol
Never put a microwave in one. I like to sit down and have a waitress refill my cup. lolx1Heavy, Auctioneer, Upinsmoke and 1 other person Thank this. -
Everybody knows seeing a CR England truck back up straight in one try is like seeing a unicorn. -

I saw a guy unhook his trailer at the dallas TA and leave, he came back drunker than a one wheeled bicycle and kept slamming it trying to hook back up.
He finally went to the shop to get them to repair his fth wheel, and they had to tell him they had a king pin lock on it. lol
That was just a week or two after that place opened up, the one and only time I ever stopped at it. I think that was the first full grown TA that I ever saw without the restaurant in it, it was a sign of what was to come.x1Heavy, bryan21384, Upinsmoke and 2 others Thank this. -
Met up with my parents a few months back at a truck stop. They are getting up there in the years. Of course my mom asking all kinds of obvious questions like if it lonely in the truck all by myself for weeks.
And the evil child i am explain to her that its expremly lonely and proceed to tell her about mothers for truckers group. That they volunteer there time to bring some sence of home to truckers all over the country. What they do is knock on a drivers door and ask if they would like some company. And they would sit and talk a bit and and bring a little bit home to the lonely over worked driver.
And being a saint my mother is she thought it was the coolest thing in the world and wanted to help. So low n behold not even 20 minutes latter my 70 year old mother just knocked on a random truck door asking the driver if he wanted any company.
Lucky for me she got a good sence of humor. Still the funniest thing i seen at a truck stop.Last edited: Apr 15, 2019
