I know, you great master of all knowledge, but you have no answer either. So you revert to this kind of breast beating. I don't buy your BS.
Why do so many Americans hate European trucks?

Then you can provide us with an answer can you? Now I'm just waiting for Mr. Oxbow to join the choir. Then we have four highly experienced drivers who are not able to answer a simple question, but instead revert to making a lot of noise to cover up that fact.Last edited: Apr 18, 2019

Hey boy, did you go to college? Did you get your knowledge of human behavioural psychology from watching Dr. Phill on tv?

I’ll go back and read your question and then give you an answer. To be honest I generally skip over your dribbling. Be back in a bit.SAR, spsauerland, sdaniel and 1 other person Thank this.

Noise, noise, noise.

Yes, but they are specialty built one off’s and I have no clue as to the price tag. Probably 5 to 700,000. But that is pure guess. How ever they would be useless on the highway as they would not be allowed anymore gross weight.SAR, Oxbow, snowman_w900 and 1 other person Thank this.

A cat 745 is not the larger haul truck. Bell make a 50 ton. They may make them even larger. Idk, but I do know I’ve hauled a bell B50. So let compare apples to apples. What does a Volvo haul trucks cost over there? They may be cheaper as they are made there instead of imported.SAR and snowman_w900 Thank this.

This one is in your back yard. A 2016, so it’s used. I didn’t see any new ones and don’t have time to search. It is quite a bit cheaper than the cat. Seen you guys must put some fairly high tariffs on imports. Imo a Volvo is every bit as good as the cat haul trucks. But I just haul them and don’t work them every day. So there is that.
SAR, Cat sdp, snowman_w900 and 1 other person Thank this. -
They must be used there, since there is a used one there
SAR and snowman_w900 Thank this. -
Thank you this answer. It was not the disputed question, but thanks anyway. The kind of trucks you mean are the Kenworth C500 and those big 6 x 6 Western Star trucks I guess.
So all in all that is a mayor difference to the European truck market. Most European truck manufacturers offer AWD versions of normal trucks. It can be done with 'normal' axles with a differential, or with hydro axles. Trucks like that can be used as tippers, as agro truck, fire engine (in forrests) etc.
