For what Mythical New Mexico Mystery Man probably charges, there’s used Amateur equipment available
Learning curve is high and legality questionable, but QUALITY isn’t.
Fine Tune is imaginary. Light another smoke, slap yourself and pour some coffee.shogun, slim6596, JesusFreak316 and 1 other person Thank this. -

I'll give you a hundred bucks if you can give me all those thousands of names but I know you made that up. -
A 99v2 ain’t that expensive. $300
One of your buddies wants a ####-talkin’, Galaxy-audio quality CB with 45-50W and:
Roger Beep
Robot Voice Changer
Echo
Reverb
Plus a ###### nice receiver, get him one.
The right noise toy will (to borrow a HAM term) break up a logjam of same-old same-old on 19 like nothing else.
“Irritation a la mode, and a cup of tea “
I miss having it in the truck when SUPER TRUCKER complains about slow left lane passes. Go RIGHT AT his competence as a driver (with whatever blend of stink & irritating noises seems best) in his failure to trip plan, his failure to ACT with the courtesy he thinks he’s entitled.
“Zo, Supatruckah (Schwarzenegger all the way), how many times today you slowed to get othas ‘roundz you”?
(I’ve NEVER had one come back to tell me he was a man. NOT ONCE).
That’ll light up the switchboard another nine miles. Galaxy audio is ###### fun.
A 98, OTOH, s EXPENSIVE. $450+
A guy wants juice, then a FCC-accepted RM ITALY KL7405 or 7505 will do it. Get it matched to radio. Leave it in or out. +/- $200
He will be comfortably above 100W Forward. (Another 250+ ain’t gonna help in CB land unless a lot of other details are working).
I’d bet the 99 is more reliable as well. Built-in big Amps mobile in big truck equals problems. Amp should be on top, not bottom.
Ever been in a shop and NOT seen a used one? Brand irrelevant.
The 7505 is big. That’s the only real “problem”. But it ain’t gonna be hanging from the overhead at the (name the bad truckstop).
How long will this 98 last near Eagle Pass?

All I know is Bells provided me exactly what I was looking for, a great radio at a great price, it's Crystal Clear and loud , I've had nothing but compliments on it from some very discriminating operators on Side Band and skip, even the DX contacts 1200 + miles away said I sounded loud and clear (On a bare foot radio!) that's good enough for me, and like I said before Bells has been in business for a long time so he must be doing something right, he doesn't have to keep moving his shop around and hide behind Facebook, the only bad thing I've ever heard about Bells has come from??? Yep Chops and Tunes
At the end of the day I got no skin in the game I'm just a consumer so we'll see how he does with the radio I sent him, if pork chops is right he won't be able to fix it because it's completely off frequency on both receive and transmit, if that turns out to be the case I'll be the first one to say I was wrong and he doesn't know what he's doing, I seriously doubt that's going to happen though I fully believe the guy knows his way around radios and Pork Chops and Looney-Tunes are kind of like Beavis and Butthead lol, they just sit around trying to run other people down to make up for some inadequacies and issues they must have and or because they have nothing else better to do, either way its sad.....shogun and Slowmover1 Thank this. -
You could even add a fan to it if need be.
You could Set it in the floor and move it from vehicle to vehicle? Even take it on vacation. poratable CB setup at DuckDuckGoLast edited: Apr 22, 2019

TAC COMM Radio Carrier.
JesusFreak316 Thanks this. -
Talked on it quite a little bit this weekend locally and a little skip (AM & LSB) 30+ miles away on AM with no problem whatsoever and 70+ miles away on LSB semi-locally non skip even at night, shooting skip I made several contacts 900-1000 miles away and one in Montreal Quebec Canada 2400-2500 miles away, all barefoot, now granted my 19 foot long antenna that's 50 ft in the air gets most of the credit for that but I've had 0 complaints of overmodulation and nothing but compliments when I've asked what the radio sounds like, and I've specifically asked the stations that sound the best and are the most discriminating, but again I don't have everything cranked to 11 nor am I screaming into the mic like a chicken trucker lollll .....now if I bought into the pork chops rhetoric I wouldn't be able to talk across the street on my crappy splatterbox that's tuned by somebody who doesn't know what they're doing and is delusional.... it's a fun little toy for the shop and I have zero complaints , and for the guys reading this looking for a cb shop don't buy into Chops and Looney Tunes nonsense! Bells does great work and don't hesitate to order from them!...... and remember stay tuned, once they're done with that mess of a radio i sent them old porky chop will pretty much have zero credibility and merit for his entire argument, not that he does now or it even matters because nobody else can even get a radio from the mythical Looney-Tune except him lolllll
