Lol. I’ve had a rollover 2 years ago. No citation, not on my MVR either. My DAC surely got trashed shortly after, fired the next day (from the mega I worked at), and I got me a trucking job the next week. And I’m still rolling to this day, no citations/further incidents since. Most truckers make a crapload of mistakes in their first few years, and I’m no exception.
There aren’t that many forgiving companies out here, so learn from your errors and drive in a lawful manner for the rest of your career. I’m rooting for ya, fellow driver.Catrachotrucker Thanks this. -
In which state was your accident? And what caused it? I’m glad to hear you’re still trucking. For me this is my dream job, I love it, But I do want to get something regional or Florida only. Because that way I can be close to home and don’t have to deal with dangerous Ice and snow and can work all year round. I’m in my first year of driving

Well that sounds like a good company to work for- Concerned about a POS truck instead of your well being.
Did they Chastise you like a misbehaving child?
Seen #### like this far too long...Especially the Smaller carriers -
Yeah they treated me like their child but the next day they called me again and said they wanted to give me a second chance. It’s one of those European 1099 companies from Chicago. They give you a lot of milesIntothesunset Thanks this.

BE CAREFUL-
I'll tell you why,
See,They took 24 hours to "think" about things.........Sure It woulda been "easy" just to Fire you, but their thinking is this.."Lets keep him on,We'll Get our money back from him eventually....If he has another wreck,Its coming outta his pay" Or they may strategically mess with your money now..Hate to say it,I feel bad for ya.
Be careful with those Slavik-Middle Eastern 1099 companies, They Find ways to get every ounce of energy out of you.Catrachotrucker and Intothesunset Thank this. -
My accident was in Kentucky, also in my first year. What caused my accident was that I was too sleepy behind the wheel. That was 100% my fault. Being a noob in the industry at that time, I was certainly not a very good night driver.
Now, dealing with ice/snow is something you may eventually face in truck driving. I’m a regional driver, and I drove through some very scary blizzards near Kansas City this past February/early March. Surely happy it’s spring time now! -
If youre involved in a collision and anyone besides you knows about it, it'll be derogatory info on your mvr.
I was knocked into a ditch in my personal vehicle last May by a hit and run driver. Not an accident...an on purpose. He succeeded on the second try. It's just another black mark on my record...the details are irrelevant. -
I know of an accident to not show on a driving record in tractor combo. The driver was not sighted by the local officers or sheriff that reported it. this was over a year ago.

I read on the Dmv website that in Florida accidents are only supposed to go on your driving record if you were isssued a Citation or were found at fault but the accident was in Nebraska so I’ll have to see what my luck is
