I hope the probation is not DWI related...

Nope, driving record is fairly clean only 2 tickets and the latest one will be 3 years old the end of this year.

A first time DWI or DUI ..is usually a misdemeanor...unless it involves...personal injury or fatalities

Hope it wasn't 20mph over the speed limit...that is considered reckless driving...and very few companies...will hire or keep a driver with that ticket

Yeah that’s a great idea. I would want some sort of letter from the PO saying he is aware of your job-related travels and approves, if that’s possible.

I knew a guy once who lost his job when his employer went out of business. He went to the state and applied for assistance as a displaced worker. The state paid for his training to get a CDL. Then he couldn't understand why nobody would hire him because he had 3 DWI's. I couldn't understand why the state would use my tax dollars to train someone who would be unemployable...

Quick little update, I received a call from magnum and explained my situation and from the conversation it seemed like they are a really forgiving (second chance) company and the pay sounds good from what I was told ( I know that everything that glitters ain’t gold) so if I’m chosen that may be my choice.

Unfortunately most of these companies will drag you to orientation and once you show up they finally process the background check. Ask if they will do it before you show up.

Looks like you got a couple options.. Best of luck finding a gig and making it happen.
