No, I have the short spread. Could be he was just full of ####. You know how salesmen are. But, that could account for some of the weight. There are a heap of ways to add or lose wgt on an rgn.

Ok, so I have no bussiness trying to answer your question on the empty weight of an rgn. No experience working around them, but love to check them out every time I see one while walking my dog around truck stops, & rest areas.

So the trailer you linked says it has a GVWR of 133,720. Well if it's a 55ton, would that reckon an empty of 23,720lb..? Assuming no accessories.? So minus the gooseneck flip box, pony motor, hydraulic tank, & 4th flip axle..?
I know you fellas who own, & run them obviously know what they weigh. But for OP, this might be of help while your searching for a trailer to ballpark the load weight you'll be able to scale..

If it was 23k lbs, I would be very happy! This means that my empty weight with the tractor would be about 40k only.

Most 55tons are around 22,000# ish. Sometimes you find some lighter ones depending on a few differences in the way it is engineered. Fontaine has a 50ton that weighs right about 18,000# if you can ever find one. They are not spreader bar capable and have a 24' well and maybe a slightly shorter neck. They used to be called a TA50 back in the day, but not sure if they are still called that.
A bare bones XL 55tons weigh under 21,000# from what I have seen advertised from dealers every now and again. The dealers don't do a favor advertising the weight though.
I know the old Liddell S models (called Signature Series) were 42.5 tons and weighed about 17,000# ish.

My 2020 Fontaine 55 ton with flip neck, flip axle, wheel covers, and steel wheels weights 27,780 with no chains or binders. It also has 60 inch axle spacings.
