I reckon one advantage to having the radio on the dash is that it’s easy to swap radios, brackets, coax, etc.

Not up to date here yet. Gotta get in the shower and get cleaned up for supper. But I did finally do a little something today.
Got new tail lights and pigtail wiring for the truck.
Trailers done more or less.
Picked up a 6000 rpm Makita grinder this year. Once I got going it made quick work of the hoops. I’m still not good enough to do the centers with it yet so sill using a cheap 3000rpm buffer for that.

Well, I had someone, a female, send me an article on “27 steps to being a modern man.” One of the 27 said something about how the modern man cries and cries often.
Okay, I am not trying to be macho and tough or trying to impress anyone on planet earth, but I cannot remember the last time I cried. Now, that doesn’t mean that there wasn’t periods of sadness. The last time I saw my grandma, she was in a hospital bed with Alzheimer’s. Her mind was already gone. Yes, I was sad...she was the most beautiful and kindest person I ever known. But I didn’t cry. Can I cry? I honestly don’t know. That was the last time I saw her.
But a “modern man” cries and cries often. Why? Bad day at work? We ALL have bad days at work. If you drive a big rig, you WILL have bad days on the job. But what would make you cry?
Got it. I remember now. A long time family friend was on his deathbed. I stopped by to see him. He had retired and had fixed lawnmowers for decades. He realized that he would no be able to longer be there for his family. I cried for him. I was a kid. There were Men sitting there, and one of them remarked about how he was having lawnmower troubles. The Old Man said, “Bring it by tomorrow... I will get right on it.”
And he laughed.
It makes me wonder what it is that the “modern man” is supposed to cry often about.Grubby, PoleCrusher, exhausted379 and 9 others Thank this. -

I'm in heat to get my wheels and tanks cut and polished. Finding someone that can do it is the problem though.
