Saw a load of round bales going down the road last week with one two in half strap on last bale. No other securement. Nice truck and trailer from local farm.

I keep saying that and no one believes me. I see bales laying on the side of the road by sharp curves all the time. One strap over the front bales, one over the back and the rest just freeballing it down the road.

I guess, I hauled round bales on wagons and trailers for years and never lost one. Used to put 125 small squares on a wagon and send them down the road all day long.

Well I bet I could hail a lot of things on a flat flat bed trailer without proper securement too. Until it fell off. Know a guy who lost a round bale and didn't even notice till he stopped.

PoleCrusher, cke and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

Well I never went down the interstate or ran fast and there was times I pulled a particular bale because it wouldn’t sit right. I know a fair amount about load securement but I would still throw round bales on my gooseneck and run from the field to the farm. The guy who didn’t know Shane on him, I watch my load and it’s loaded to be visible.

The guy I saw was running 60 mph and going down a state highway. I followed him for ten miles then passed him. When I got to my last stop which was a gas station he drove past after I was there. He traveled at leas twenty miles on the state highway. He then turned east onto another state highway. Wasn't pulling out of a field and going a couple of miles to the farm at ####ing up traffic speeds.

PoleCrusher, cke and D.Tibbitt Thank this.
