it depends, some fleets change drivers so fast that even without seat their drivers wont be tired.
some of largest fleets will often buy better seats.
i see seat as a good investment, better seat will keep driver not as tired this have direct connection with safety and fuel economy.KVB, rollin coal, daf105paccar and 2 others Thank this. -
mb dont have heating and lumbar support bags in basic seat. also basic seat dont have adjustment of upper part of backrest dont have horizontal damping of seat (only vertical). if you want better seat it is about 300€. big and giga cabs have better seat as serial equipment. some markets set deafult equipment for all trucks higher so they will get it as serial equipment, like germany.
basic seat is more durable so it is better for fleets and work trucks. ventilated is +500€ (comparing to comfort). although on paper most of functions are same but on road you can note differenceKVB, daf105paccar, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this. -
british trucks are often worst equipped on market, both interior external, cab size and engines used....
in mb you can get drivers seat without suspension at all, (not hydraulic but fixed seat) it cost same as suspension seat (dont lower price) and more or less every truck for africa will use it....i had 8 specs tippers for cameroon and they were wihout cab front suspension without AC without air seat with quite hard axle suspension, i was shocked....latter it become normal for me. more comfortable truck is driver will drive faster and make more damage.KVB, rollin coal, daf105paccar and 3 others Thank this. -
i dont see reason for air passenger seats for most users. you can invest that money betterdaf105paccar Thanks this.

You're 100% correct.
Isringhausen is the "Erstausrüster" for almost all European truck manufacturers, meaning that all of these companies put ISRI seats in their trucks. -
Interestingdaf105paccar and Oxbow Thank this.

The KW/Peterbilt 2.1M cab has throttle pedal that rests on floor and suspended brake pedal. Clutch pedal is suspended also. If you like clutch pedal through floor, that is the way still are on narrower Pete cab with electronic throttle pedal assy bolted to floor, but brake pedal is too!SAR, daf105paccar, 98989 and 2 others Thank this.
