Corning ca at the loves
Made that Fremont delivery this mornimg. Reason for the restricted route on the qc nav was the road was restricted to 5 ton vehicles.
My pickup in Oakland was for 1330 so had to waste about 4 hrs.
Sat at the final for about an hour then drove to an on ramp 15 miles from shipper.
Not many miles today but had about 20.minutes left on my 14 when I got here.
Delivery is for anytime b4 midnite on weds. I am 612 miles from here

A bit too much excitement for one day.
I was east bound on I-12 in LA about 10 miles from where it rejoins I-10 when I got rear-ended!
I remember glancing at my left mirror about 2 seconds before impact and saw an older Mack in the left lane with a flatbed. Turns out the driver fell asleep and drifted into the left rear corner of my trailer. His tractor just lightly scrapped the side of the trailer but the right front corner of his trailer solidly impacted the left rear corner of my trailer.
Only had to wait about 10 minutes for the LSP to arrive then spent a total of an hour waiting for him to write up the paperwork.
My saving grace (besides minimal damage) was I was hauling a high-value load. On-road agreed 100% with my desire to drop it at final. -
Taking a much needed 34 at a hotel after dropping @ Theodore, AL.

Bad luck. Glad you were not hurt.

Was planning on doing my ten at the pilot in Tumwater wa. I5ex99. Place was full and no reserve parking available. So I fueled up a d got su way for dinner. Then came back south to the rest area. Had only 30 minutes left on my 11 and 38 miles to final.

I mentioned yesterday that I'm @ a hotel taking a 34. I'm at the Super 8 in Tillman's Corner, AL. I chose it because it had truck parking and was close to where I dropped in Theodore.
Problem is the area has a walkability score of 1 (at best). No sidewalks (just grass covered shoulders) and no crosswalks. I tried walking to the Walmart about a mile from the hotel only to give up when I figured out that the total lack of crosswalks/crossing lights. It's like somebody decided that if you don't drive then you don't need to move around.
I ended up eating at the same Mexican restaurant 2 nights in a row. Had last night's experience been like tonight's I WOULD NOT have gone back.
Oh well. I pick up @ Kimberly Clark in Mobile tomorrow headed for Aurora, CO. -
