@rollin coal at half the cost of a performance engine oil I'd say the Supertech definitely holds its own. Bearing in mind this is synthetic gasoline engine oil:

I figured you didn't, it is the ESN prefix for his C-15 engine. FA-4 is targeted @ large fleets with early trade in cycles and like you cut and pasted is not backward compatible.

I don't think that MX is superior to any other engine, just because it likes to burn oil.

Every single engine does that, it's just that Paccar set industry standard in that matter.

Not reminding the famous early XF105 Daf.

A good friend of mine is car mechanic, just like his dad did.

He told me a story back when he went for work practice at local car workshop.

The supervisor of that shop told him to clean oil cooler.

So he is like, ok, and start to disassemble it. Five minutes into working, supervisor comes back and asks him wtf he is doing.

So he shows where oil cooler is, and which parts he has to take apart first, in order to remove it. Supervisor then points at intercooler, and tells him that this is oil cooler, and that is what he has to take out of car.

So my friends tells him that it's not oil cooler, but intercooler, made for cooling air. His supervisor was like "every single time we take it out of car, some oil pours out of it, so this has to be oil cooler".

That's fine of course, but doing two oil changes instead of one somewhat undermines the money argument.

Is a good insurance policy and the more you look @ your truck the more problems you can prevent.

Of course it was cut and paste from the API web site, they make the specifications etc.
I'm not sure why FA-4 should have anything to do with early trade in cycles, it's a new generation of engine oils, that's it.
