Gents, I'm looking at a machine located in brewer Maine, will need to haul it to chattanooga.
Google maps says its 1250 miles.
Machine weighs 39k
120" wide, 141" tall
Broker of the machine is working on quotes.
My only concern is that it travel safely, the driver is compensated fairly for their time and effort, and we all roll forward better for the experience.
I would much prefer dealing direct with the driver/owner than messing with a broker that will want a cut.
You folks work hard enough as it is
Don't need to complicate things any more than absolutely necessary.
Fair rate idea?

Needs lowboy and tarps if you want it covered.
snowman_w900, kptnt2016, TNSquire and 2 others Thank this. -
5k probably ...has to go on low boy or rgn ...my low pro step deck can fit almost 11' high ......
Could be much cheaper since its hard to get a load from east ...
Im moving one box now from Baltimore port at 4$ per miles to the modwest , dimensions 137" wide , 128 high ...dispatch said broker smoking something to pay that much ...regular rate was half price for regular not oversized load -
Needs to be on an RGN, ballpark $6000-6500
I'm sure there's someone who wants to get out of Maine though -
Guess it’s high time I start brokering work.snowman_w900, Oxbow, Heavy Hammer and 9 others Thank this. -

I was thinking at least 7-8k realistically. Similar loads posted right now Augusta to millington TN for 5500 for a legal DD.
This 39k is also overweight for some....and this time of year no need to tarp for that little amount.snowman_w900, cke, BigCam9670 and 2 others Thank this.
