A company driver will never b the same as owner operator
-
$400 truck payment
$50 insurance
$1087 fuel 2500/6Mpg=416.66*$2.61
$250 maintenance and repairs (min)
That’s $1787 in basic costs. 3456-1787=$1,669That’s no workers comp, no medical, no savings for vacation, no self employment tax factored in, and hoping repairs and maint are less than $12k a year. That’s also excluding plates, permits, etc as the company may provide them. The company driver is actually doing better9417, gokiddogo, Tug Toy and 1 other person Thank this. -
