Is anyone stepping up yet to give these guys a hand? If I recall correctly, when Arrow went down , several companies allowed their drivers to pick up the stranded Arrow employees.

If you are a Falcon driver please post in this thread.
I heard they have like 600 trucks. Thats a lot of guys out on the interstates.

So far, at last report, fuel cards are working and some drivers at least got their Friday paycheck.

Here's hoping that by Monday they are making arrangements to get the drivers home.

Doesn't seem like another Arrow just yet. Of course they have plenty of time to turn into one.

Companies do go out of business, and sometimes it happens when the trucks are dispatched. Few companies, however, go out of business because the owner pilfered $50 million.

Then sent out notices to drivers that they have stopped operations and that drivers should stop where they are and awaot further instructions.

From my perspective, that's a good thing ;-)

Although, I do feel bad for those folks who lost their jobs. But heck, with the major driver SHORTAGE out here, they'll be back to work in no time, I just hope they collect what's due.

Only ones that can give a ride are O/O’s. Or if a company gives permission to their employees like they did with Arrow.

If any new company driver is reading this, don’t give anyone a ride out of kindness. You could lose your job.

That is very true, but in those cases the last (couple?) paycheck(s) bounce and stuff like the fuel card is shut off. All we know so far is Falcon has told it's driver to no do anything and wait. It's the weekend so to me it's reasonable to wait until Monday afternoon before abandoning their tractor and hitching a ride home. Falcon is automotive, that means 99% of their trailers have product on it that needs to get delivered. Be it empty racks going back to the supplier or parts going to GM. For all we know, Falcon could simply have put out that statement so drivers don't pick up new product, and Falcon has every intention of getting the dunnage delivered and the drivers home.
All I'm saying I guess is since the fuel cards work, fill the tanks and wait until at least tomorrow (Monday) afternoon to start leaving equipment abandoned.
