Even here in western europe it does not work, unless you stay in the big cities are go from one big city to another, and stay in or near the centers.

In the more rural areas (according to western european standards, still very populated by North American or Australian standards) it just does not work.

If I drive to work it takes me 35-40 minutes. If I have to use public transport (bus-train-bus) 2.5 hour at the minimum, and I can not get there on time in the morning.

Only times I use public transport is to go to the Amsterdam airport, to avoid traffic and the inconvenience and cost of (long stay) parking. Direct train to Amsterdam, only 1 stop in between.

But I still have to get to the train station by car and park there, or have somebody drop me off.

We live in southeastern Manitoba. Just a few numbers.
    Property size: 45 hectare.
    Population: just a hand full
Distance to mailbox: 17 km or just over 10 miles.
Distance to school, gas station or closest grocery store: 35 km or 22 miles.

    Yes, we have electricity.

Mechanic for New Holland field tests goes to Australia.
    Arrives at the farmer.
They discus what and how they will do the trails.
Then the farmer ask where he will stay while he doing his testing.
    Mechanic:Hotel x.
    Farmer:eek:h,you are lucky.
That is a very small but good hotel.
    Very close by.
    Mechanic:really?how far?
    Farmer:eek:nly 120km.

    I've got quiz for Caesar.

Try, by using google, to explain all of us what's on that picture.

    That's true.

"Around the corner" can be a bit different compared to Europe.
Even me and my wife make jokes about it.

    "You know THAT traffic light!"
The light in question is possibly 120 miles away. Who would remember a certain light, that's 200km away in Europe?

They seem to be lasting longer nowadays and troubleshooting is getting better with DAVIE. I would say little over 300,000 miles seems to be the norm on a failure.
