    It's dropping economically.

But the United States for as long we exist will always have trucking. We started it prior to world war one and will continue this between the states long after we stop being these United States if necessary.

We have seen lows and we have seen highs more often in trucking and usually with pain. It's sharp when your wallet has 128.00 inside of it this year instead of 1000.00 you remember 8 months ago with the work.

I have been on business for four months my driver is having hard time to get a lot of loads. In January he was very busy but now he is lucky if he get two loads per week.

It always goes up and down. The herd thins out, business goes up, every body and their brother jumps in and business goes down.

    What sort of load?

If I knew what type of load or product specifcally I can generate a theory pretty quickly based on our seasonal situation going into spring.

If you think hauling books is not doing well, then it's springtime, get into hauling annuals in plants etc for nursery or some such where the freight is in demand. Just hauling one product and nothing else and not being flexible to travel to where the need is is not good.

He delivery loads to Walmart like food etc our broker call us with loads like $700.00 instead $2,000 and up so when you calculate all the miles that he has to drive there isn't too much profit

I think I ate something bad yesterday, because I had to drop three loads!

    And it was not pretty.

Guess y’all newbies missed my thread back in a September advising to hold off on buying a truck and getting started.
