Wich ones are you thinking of swapping out?

They just pop out but they are in there really snug. If you do the one under the cup holder it would be easier to remove the panel.

Just 2 torxs screws and lift up the fuse panel cover and it pops out. Remove the wires to ports. I found it was easier to push the lighter out from behind.

Good luck and let us know how you like the USB instead.

Why not just get a cigarette lighter USB adapter plug-in. Most likely a lot cheaper in a lot easier to use for sure

Yeah I wanted to replace the one under cup holder the one that's closer to me. Thanks for the advice I will try it on my next trip this Sunday.

I use a cigarette lighter USB adapter right now but it pops out sometimes because of some bumpy roads. I want a permanent solution which is getting 1 USB socket. I only have 1 thing that uses a cigarette light socket which is my dashboard cam and its plugged into the top socket. It's pretty solid and doesn't pop out on bumpy roads. All of my other things use USB ports. I was thinking of using the USB adapter at the sleeper instead.

Mine had the same issue so I just took a flathead screwdriver and pried the metal tabs out a little on the adapter. Has worked for the last few months without fail. Just an idea that wont cost you anything.

    Socal Xpress Thanks this.

Folded up papper works as well. Having them fall out while driving got old quickly.
