I don't think I've had any Kelly's on drives. They don't have a bad reputation but I hate them on the steers. Worst steers I've ever had. Both times they were brand new and very worn off edges by 40k. I think I had some car tires by Kelly that were fine.

Seems you’re upset. There is a reason we joke and call you me too Jimmie. Every time someone says they’ve done something. There you are “me too, I’ve done that”. You take it for whatever you want. Just don’t kid yourself and think I’m the only one who’s noticed.

  4. I will chime in, double coin was an ok Tire for all around use. When I ran into railroad crushed granite it would do a number on the tires. So being as double coin was cheap. I wasn't heart broken when I had to replace one for $200. Brand new compared to the $300 -$400 for name brand bfg, Goodyear or michelin's.
It's all in your application, where you run should determine what you decide on running for rubber.

I ran flatbed off road 75% of the time. So. I chose to go with easily replacement. If I ran more street/highway. Maybe I'd look into the gas miser name brand.

These are the first I’ve ever ran. So I can’t really say anything other than they’ve been good

Well gents, anyone is welcome to read or not read a post of mine. Agree or disagree. This place is recreational forum providing humor and information. No part of this place could ever bother me as a secure adult. With that said its best to ignore some and focus on others. I'm more than willing to help anyone solve a problem even if I have no answer. I have learned a ton of stuff on here that I might never have. Only right to help others.

Mine is most noticeable on a hard pull about 45 to 55 mph. It is so frustrating to have a truck that rode dead smooth, buy new tires, and then have ride problems. I took it back in after a few thousand miles and the tire shop spent quite a bit of effort trying to correct it, but what do you do, keep having them put on new tires until the problem is gone I guess. 5 out of 8 were plumb true.

@1951 ford I can’t imagine how bad your area is flooded by now. Looks like it’s been pretty much constant rain for the past couple days.

I’ve done some reading on this. They say some truck tire shops can “shave” a little rubber off a tire to make it round. I wish I knew a place near me that could do it.

    Drives ya nuts.

The fella I bought my Pete from put 10 brand new Chinese BOTO tires on it. It’s got a pretty good bounce about 45 mph. Pretty much goes away with an empty trailer on, but bobtail it’s very pronounced. I told him and he had all 8 drives balanced and it actually made it worse.
