Not a year. Ontario authority was issued in 1992 I think. Audit was ~2007

I am in TN too hopefully I will go through the same. OOIDA makes it seem like they will ask all types of bs questions like to explain my rewards program for my safe drivers and such. I doubted that was really necessary for the safety audit.

You need to show how you counseled drivers about any logging mistakes. Should make a note of that counseling in the employee file.

Also don’t forget to have a written policy for PM’s

I'll tell them not to get caught again will that suffice?

We all know the shiny wheel, chrome, stainless, painted fender, extra lights crowd make all the money.
That's why I run minimum lights, chrome and shiny. Well that and it is cheaper.

WAY different if you have drivers. I'm a one man show. I will never have drivers. He said because of this I'm immune to lots of stuff, I just have to keep records (application and all in files) and I don't even have to show a maintenance program if I'm only one truck and I run and drive the truck. I was kinda blown away by that. He said I actually didn't even have to show DVR's on my ELD. I don't buy that, I do it always.

    TruckRunner and rank Thank this.

Rewards program for safe driving? How about they get to live another day? That's a pretty decent reward for being safe.

    TruckRunner Thanks this.

Don’t you have to keep a record of reprimanding your self about log violations? ;)
