No a 102 with 10" riser....102 doesnt work on the usual cb freq so you need to add to it ao you can go into lower freq for cb use..with the riser it can use more of the range of my 955..Not likely i will but its possible..
I did have a 7ft skip shooter but it wouldnt tune a lil better without doin a lil snippin of the coiled wire insde the plastic..Plus a was told a cpl more guys got better results with the 102 on a riser..Figured why not...oh thats just 3/4" id indoor flexable water pipe over it..Keeps it from floppin all over the place..

Well the riser is part of the electrical length. 11 meter 1/4 wave is somewhere around 108" depending on material/thickness etc

True but now its adjustable rather than a static length to..So i can run lower or higher freq if it ever came to that...Doubt i ever will but hey i rather to much than not enough..

Oh, you have a base shaft the whip slides into. I have one like that I had Kale at predator make, I think it's 30".
I found top loaded had better reactance

Yeah another name for it..I actually was lookin at my predator top masts and thinkin about haven a machine shop fox one up for me but then i woulda wasted a perfectly good comp 10k...
Well a ways back when i was out in iowa i took off my 7ft skipper and installed the 102 just to see the diff...The 7ft ss looked to be slightly better....Now totally different story with the riser...
Im not sure now if useing the riser/mast if its considered base loaded or not...
I just assume it was the full length was the load..Either way my ears are better..Am i maken a longer trip, dont know..Radio was really quiet till yesterday when i was in ohio..Skip was pretty good on 19 a lil while ago here in nrampton ontario..

Retired! Been over a year since I've been in a truck! I am thinking of a Class 8 truck converted to pull my 5th wheel travel trailer though........
