Which truck are you talking about? Which company? Need more info than just a 1 line post...

 

I mean, it is going to vary, a lot. New truck? Used truck? What company? Credit check?

Every company offering a lease will usually have the Truck charge + Physical Damage Insurance + Maintenance Escrow Account + Tags and other fixed Cost = Weekly Cost. You need to find out what each of those cost will be and then write them down . Then determine if you will generate enough revenue to pay those fixed costs, plus have enough left over to pay your Operational ,Variable expenses, Driver income and Taxes as well. Bottom line is you need to know ALL of the numbers before you commit.

 

it is usually a weekly payment, and all the times that i am aware of, the money gets taken out of your settlement before you get any money.

seriously, save your money by driving (or continuing to drive) for a company, and you just may end up with a really nice downpayment for a very good used truck. lease deals are for the benefit of the company, not usually the driver.

 

When did this weekly payment #### start. I bought my first thru my agent and second from the van line. It was a monthly payment. But that was back close to 3 decades ago

 

when i had looked into the lease/own deals, like the op is, i went to Prime, Arctic Express, Schanno, Don Frymiller. they sent me a drivers settlement sheet, with ALL the weekly deductions.

first on the list of deductions.>??

the lease payment..!

so it was a weekly deal back then...and THAT was OVER 3 decades ago..!!

I just can’t see myself paying someone else before I bring money home to my family other than taxes.
