    Well yea, you'd have to pay for the construction. But then your neighbors could have high speed internet as well. Stop being so selfish.

    What about DSL? We have fiber DSL for residential where I live.

    DSL has a shorter unboosted range than cable. Learned that 15 years ago when we had one choice for internet. Right outside the range of DSL, but cable was fine. But that's standard DSL. Laying fiber is expensive as hell.

    It's TSP from the pedestal into the house. But they also use a Category 5 TSP.

    I've talked to folks that had Hughes and was just told it was , sloooooowww.
