The reason why Uber wont get it back is because the orginal offering of the load is at 19,000. So it is a contract for 19G's, If they were to take it to court they would lose, its not about intent ,it's about contract law, there is an agreed upon contract, it will standup in court, and you can thank the Uber legal team for making sire its legal and binding, done in by there own team all the way around.
Completed a $19,000 dryvan load. Highest paying dryvan load?

You mind won't be at peace until you
Know the truth.
You know something's not right.
Pick up the phone and solve the problem.
If it's all good,you got 19 grand.
If it was a mistake you haven't blown the
Money yet.
Your other option.
Starting another thread 4 months from now:
Asking for a good lawyer because some broker
Is suing you for 17 grand in overpayment.
And you already blew the money.
I would end this charade first thing Monday morning.
If it's to good to be true,it probably is.TallJoe Thanks this. -
If it was a mistake,I'm betting on uber to
Get that money back.
Or making your life miserable enough that
You wish you gave it back. -

I’ve had the broker send me the wrong amount on the rate con many ah time. Sometimes adding an extra zero. I always contact them back and make aware of the issue. I guess with Uber that might be different. I’d still contact them and if they play stupid after a few attempts then just keep it. I even tried to mail the broker a check and they never cashed it when I was double paid.
No wonder Uber loses billions. -
I dont understand the problem.
The op was offered a load at a certain rate.
The op accepted the load at that rate.
Paper work was exchanged between the two confirming that rate.
The op hauled and delivered the load.
He was paid the agreed upon rate.
What's the problem??
If the rate had of been $190. And all of the above happened. Every one saying you charged or got paid to much. Would be telling the OP your a stupid dumb ###. You accepted the load for $190. So that's what you deserve to get paid.bbechtel16, jamespmack, speedyk and 1 other person Thank this. -
It would be similar to approaching a ninty year old gramma , almost blind, to have her sign and sell her house for $19,000 instead of $190 000,00
Don't get me wrong!
That's not to say that UBER is the gramma, and that the OP did the same swindling thing LOL but I don't think that the contract signed by the gramma would stand in court... If it did, though. Oh well all these swindling opportunities become possible now. Better be careful before you sign anything, including an ant killer salesmen who will have you signed a contract of 5000 instead of 500 to have the ants removed from your porch.Last edited: May 12, 2019
