Any suggestions for where to find loads for a 40 foot flatbed, with my authority? Business has been getting slower and slower every month. For the last 6 months I've been hauling freight out of Dallas/ Fort Worth and hauling cars for the backhaul but both are getting slimmer and slimmer. Have not had much luck on DAT or Truckstop.com or Landstar. Most of what I see on those 3 load boards is for full loads not LTL. I can only haul 14K pounds max. Any suggestions for finding loads? Thanks in advance.

Partials, and depending on your deck height, maybe step deck freight too. Since you can only haul 14k I'm assuming you have a pickup. Market is slow right now on all sides..

This info may be out dated and useless now, but jones motor used to broker out some partials, mostly vehicles, also any of the household good moving companies would broker out vehicles too.

You're in the wrong area for hotshot.

I seem 'em headed out to W Tx mostly. You' d do better being in/around the Houston area.

If you've got your own operating authority, you need to hustle direct freight.

And by that, you must mean going to the companies directly, that need the freight moved?
